Construction of the new No-Moscow Primary School in Qunu
In July 2012 the Child and Family Foundation commenced new construction of the extremely dilapidated No-Moscow Primary School in Qunu, Nelson Mandela’s home village. The Nobel Peace Prize laureate and former President of South Africa actively supported the project. After just nine months of project work, the new “Nelson Mandela No-Moscow Primary School” was completed.

Official opening – the Nelson Mandela No-Moscow Primary School
On 15th March 2013 the newly constructed “Nelson Mandela No-Moscow Primary School” was officially opened. Attending the school opening ceremony were Luvuyo Hlanganani Mandela, great-grandson of Nelson Mandela, Lyoness CEO Hubert Freidl, Nina Passegger, director of the Child & Family Foundation, along with a large number of Lyoness members. They all joined the village community in celebrating the building of the new school in Qunu.

A particular highpoint was visiting the Mandela family. Lyoness.TV were guests of Graça Machel, wife of Nelson Mandela. Nina Passegger had the opportunity of conducting an extended interview with her at the home of the former President and Nobel Peace Prize laureate. Additionally, Lyoness CEO Hubert Freidl showed the former First Lady some images of the newly constructed school built by the Child & Family Foundation.
Cashy was also in South Africa and contributed his effort to help with construction work.
